Welcome!
Hey there! My name is Jordan. I’m a Michigan-based registered Dietitian who is passionate about empowering individuals to take charge of their health. I firmly believe that food should be enjoyed and that it has the incredible power to nourish and fuel our bodies.
One of the things I enjoy most about my work is helping individuals discover what works best for them and creating sustainable solutions to meet their unique nutrition needs. I understand what it's like to feel like a stranger in your own body because I've been there too. I've personally experienced digestive issues, struggled with over-exercising, and dealt with the fear of chronic dieting.
My own journey has fueled my passion for empowering my patients to find the right balance and approach to taking care of themselves. I provide them with the support, information, and resources they need to achieve optimal health, balance, and joy. My goal is to help my patients make choices that make them feel confident and empowered in their wellness journey.
When you work with me, you can expect to receive the knowledge, resources, and support necessary to achieve optimal health, balance, and joy in your life. I want to equip you with the confidence and clarity to make the best decisions for your well-being.
So, whether you're looking to address specific health concerns, improve your relationship with food, or simply enhance your overall wellness, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. Together, we can create a sustainable and enjoyable approach to nutrition that brings you closer to your goals. Let's embark on this journey together!
Jordan Seward is a dedicated Registered Dietitian with a wealth of experience and education in the field of nutrition. Jordan's mission is to help individuals achieve their optimal well-being through personalized and sustainable approaches to nutrition and lifestyle.
Jordan firmly believes with appropriate, and maintainable approaches to your health, we can break the cycle and get to the underlying root problem. She believes that beyond basic medical labs there is a plethora of information that we gain when looking at our digestion, hormones, eating habits, stress levels, and more. Which is why she emphasizes the importance of building relationships with her clients so that more information can be uncovered as they are working together. Jordan understands that everyone learns differently and has different motivators, which is why when you work with her you will have customized care plans that help you achieve your goals without restriction or heavy emphasis on food.
Education has been a cornerstone of Jordan's journey. After growing up in Apex, North Carolina, Jordan went to Appalachian State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Recognizing her passion for nutrition, she moved back to Raleigh and pursued a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at Meredith College in 2021. While completing her Masters, Jordan assisted in teaching the first-year Master in Nutrition students Research Methods. This role helped her identify her passion for research, nutrition and educating others. To finalize her studies, Jordan moved away from Raleigh, North Carolina and attended Cornell University, a program that emphasizes research, and completed over 1500 hours of supervised practice for her Dietetic Internship.
Volunteering with teenagers and young adults has been foundational in shaping Jordan’s dietetic work. Jordan spent time last fall volunteering at the Galisano Autism Center in Rochester, New York where she taught young adults on the spectrum of Austim about healthy eating habits and how to cook. The goal of this program was to encourage lifelong habits and to help individuals gain independence in the kitchen! Jordan is also proud to call herself a member of Best Buddies International, a nonprofit organization that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Outside of work and school Jordan loves to move her body, some of her favorite ways are through cycling, rowing and bootcamp style classes. Jordan enjoys spending summers at her family cottage on Lake Michigan, and in the winter loves to knit while watching TV or listen to podcasts.
